“SMICE” is an acronym for “SERVICING MINING, INDUSTRIAL AND CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT”.

Smice International Limited is wholly Ghanaian owned, and was incorporated on January 31, 1996 as AN Smice, a limited liability company with three shareholders authorized to operate in the following areas:

1. Importation, sale installation and maintenance of plant and equipment for Mining, Construction, Electric Power Generation, General Industrial Manufacturing.
2. Importation, sale and maintenance of Motor Vehicles of all capacities.
3. Provision of Engineering Services and manufacture of equipment.
4. Manufacturers’ Representatives and Commission Agents.
5. Dealers in Lubricants and Petroleum Support Services.

In line with the vision of becoming a major player in West Africa and to take advantage of the global market, the name Smice International Limited was adopted in 2000 to replace A.N Smice.
